The melodies of rock/metal: Twin guitars, explosive drums, heavy bass, and intense vocals, fused with classical piano. Add one intense stage show lead by the Jester, and you will experience something that is truly unique.
Watching us play is an experience that no one forgets. We take our audiences' energy and put it into our performance, creating a cycle that can never be broken. We have opened for national recording artist, Sponge, on their stop in Grand Rapids. We've played gigs big and small with many talented local bands across Michigan, performed for prestegious venues, battle of the bands, and festivals including: The Intersection, The Orbit Room, Bodog's National Battle of the Bands, WKLQ's Heavyweight Competition, and The Carnival of Chaos. We have also played for charities and fund raisers often donating merchandise sales that we generate that day to the event.
Our first album, The Madman Chronicles, is a concept/story album. It takes the listener through the life of the character, showing them the dark alternate path that creates the Madman. 11 songs compose the album, creating the Madman's world one step at a time. Due to the seriousness and how deep the material is, we postponed the album to write new material. The new album, 'From the Ruins', is currently being recorded. 12 songs are completed: The People (Under the Stares), The Call To War, Another Casualty, Guilty Pleasure, Cyanide, The Knight, Throw Down, Room 241, Stoic, Ruined, The Prophecy, and Bitch (Bang Your Head).
We draw our inspiration from the music of Metallica, Shadows Fall, and even Pink Floyd while staying true to our own unique sound. While performing we seek to emulate the fury, aggression, and passion of Slipknot or Nirvana. We are comprised of five members with similar, and very different musical tastes. This keeps the music of Weddg similar, but very different, from those who have inspired us.
